Raer 10: Holy Basil, Jasmin+Pandan

The inspiration for our latest launch comes from Raer's business partner Cynthia Chua, who comes from Singapore. Conjuring the exhilaration of a monsoon in Singapore, this is an uplifting green scent built around Holy Basil and Thai Pandan Leaf. Our own exquisite French Jasmin harmonises with freshness from Green Mandarin. A very special Cedarwood from Alaska adds structure. Adventure comes from Sichuan Pepper, Patchouli and a hint of Cardamom. Clean, invigorating and refreshing, this is a exciting perfume
to wear with adventurous abandon.

Holy Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum)
ORIGIN: Vietnam
EXTRACTION: Steam distillation

Holy basil, also called Tulsi or Ocimum tenuiflorum, is a perennial herb highly valued in Southeast Asian cultures for its diverse uses. Its vibrant green leaves, distinguished by their peppery yet subtly sweet flavor reminiscent of licorice, are commonly used in cooking, adding depth and nuance to dishes. Yet, its significance extends far beyond the culinary realm. Holy Basil is revered for its profound cultural and medicinal value, often featured in religious ceremonies and believed to offer health benefits attributed to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

Holy basil exudes a fragrance that is both captivating and spiritually evocative, blending peppery, herbal, clove, and citrus notes into a harmonious symphony. Rich in antioxidants and essential oils, it is known for promoting wellness and stress relief. Thus, holy basil serves not only as a culinary delight but also as a revered symbol of spiritual reverence and holistic wellness in the hearts and minds of communities across the region.
