Each fragrance is formulated, compounded, and blended by hand using the finest botanical materials on earth; ethically grown, sustainably sourced, and shaped with care.

How We Began

Our first batch of perfume, from 2017

Raer was born from a simple frustration: that natural perfume too often meant soft, safe, or forgettable.

In 2017, our founder Ted Rohn went searching for a fragrance that felt bold, modern, and alive, but also truly natural. When he couldn’t find it, he made it.

That search became a collection of perfumes shaped by a deep understanding of the craft and a fascination with nature’s wildness and unpredictability. Each Raer Scent is made slowly, by hand, with a respect for process and a love of form.

What guides us

We believe natural perfume can be sensual, strange, subversive. We create without compromising on integrity, cost or quality. 

We formulate, blend, and bottle every single perfume ourselves in small batches at our Berlin Atelier, just across the river from Mies van der Rohe’s Neue Nationalgalerie.

Inspired by the Bauhaus tradition, our creative process is slow but rigorous. We work in small batches, blending by hand using ancient perfumery techniques; methods that respect our rare plant extraction and allow them to reveal themselves into something very modern.

Our ingredients

We use only whole-plant ingredients; rare distillations, resins, and extractions that are no longer common in modern perfumery.. Some are grown just for us. All are among the finest botanical materials in the world.
